Ford New Zealand (FNZ) and New Zealand Cricket (NZC) today confirmed a renewal of their existing agreement as the Official Vehicle Provider for New Zealand Cricket. Ford has been associated with New Zealand cricket since 2009, bringing the duration of the partnership to 11 years.
FNZ General Marketing Manager Cameron Thomas said, “Ford is delighted to be continuing to support and be involved in the national summer sport for New Zealanders.”
Giving the recent challenges the country has been facing in relation to COVID-19, Thomas says Ford is looking forward to moving on to another great summer with the BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS in New Zealand.
“The renewal announcement comes at a nice time, just as we move out of level 4 and our dealers are beginning to partially open their doors again,” he added.
NZC chief executive David White said his organisation was honoured to be again partnering with Ford New Zealand, who he said had always been great friends of cricket in New Zealand, and Kiwi sport in general.
“Ford have been with us for a long time now and their support off the field has been an important factor in the successes we’ve seen on the field, both at professional and amateur level.
Ford continues to be the naming partner for the Ford Trophy, the domestic one-day competition in New Zealand.
