The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has agreed a deal with streaming platform tapmad TV for rights to the 2021 Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 competition in Australia, the Middle East and North Africa, along with other markets not covered by existing broadcast contracts.
Live streams of the 2021 PSL will be available via www.tapmad.com/psl6, with tapmad TV available as an app on the iOS, Android, Samsung TV and Android TV stores.
The agreement with tapmad TV ensures global coverage for the sixth edition of the PSL, which will take place in Karachi and Lahore from February 20 to March 22.
The streaming is unavailable in Pakistan, North America, the Caribbean, the UK, sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and New Zealand due to broadcast rights contracts.
Indian pay-television broadcaster Sony Pictures Networks last month agreed a three-year media rights deal with the PCB, covering the board’s home international matches and the annual PSL in the 2021-23 period. That agreement included India and other markets in the Indian subcontinent.
The PCB earlier announced a series of international media-rights deals with pay-television broadcasters: Sky in the UK, Sky New Zealand, Willow in North America, and Flow Sports in the Caribbean.
Pay-television broadcaster SuperSport holds rights to the PSL in sub-Saharan Africa under a deal signed in October.
