Former Star TV executive, Sunil Manoharan has joined the International Cricket Council (ICC) as Vice-President Media Rights from October.
Manoharan is a broadcast professional with over 20 years of experience in sports rights sales and management with a focus on cricket.
Prior to joining, Manoharan worked with Star TV for over five years as Director where he was looking after sports TV rights sales on a global basis for Star Sports. He managed the relationship with the Cricket Federation and Sub Licensees. Also, dealing with budgeting and long-range projections for syndication and revenue. He joined Star TV in 2015.
He was also associated with Worldwide Wickets, Mauritius (Formerly ESPN Mauritius) as director and with ESPN Star Sports for 13 years.
The post has been vacant since October 2019 after Aarati Dabas resigned abruptly as the ICC media rights head.
