Worcestershire County Cricket Club (WCCC) have announced an early end to their partnership with main sponsors Blackfinch Investments.
The funding specialists have worked with the club since 2016 - when they became shirt sleeve sponsors - and the following year became their central sponsor when a five-year deal was agreed between the two parties.
That saw the company logo adorning the front of shirts and the club's ground being renamed to Blackfinch New Road.
The deal was worth a six-figure sum to Worcestershire and was described at the time as "historic" and a "real statement of intent".
Over this period WCCC has enjoyed unprecedented success. The Worcestershire Rapids won the Vitality Blast Campaign in 2018 for the first time in its history. In 2019 the Rapids again reached the Vitality Blast finals only to be edged out by Essex Eagles in the last ball of the competition.
But the link-up has been cut-short two years ahead of schedule amid a difficult time for multiple industries due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
With immediate effect, the club's ground will revert back to being known as New Road.
Chairman Fanos Hira said: "We would like to thank Blackfinch for their support over the last four years and wish them well in the future."
Blackfinch chief-executive and founder Richard Cook added: "We would like to thank the WCCC for a great four years of sponsorship.
"We have had some fantastic times at Blackfinch New Road and wish them the best of luck for the upcoming season and in the future."
