Sri Lanka Cricket has added paint manufacturer JAT Holdings to its sponsorship portfolio as well as confirming an extension with long-term sponsor Dialog Axiata.
JAT Holdings has signed as overseas team sponsor of the Sri Lanka team for the 2020-21 cricket season. This grants the brand exposure as front-of-shirt sponsor of the team during its matches outside of Sri Lanka. This included the recently concluded two-Test tour of South Africa, as well as the tour of West Indies, currently scheduled to begin in March. Between these away tours, Sri Lanka will play a home series against England, beginning on January 14.
JAT Holdings has recently sponsored the Kandy Tuskers team during the 2020 Lanka Premier League, Sri Lanka’s T20 franchise tournament.
Telecoms company Dialog Axiata continues as the Official National Team Sponsor of Sri Lanka’s national side, building on an association which has run since 2013 and will now continue until 2023. InsideSport previously reported that the extension is worth 30 per cent less per season than the three-year deal which preceded it, which was reported to be worth LKR 1.2bn (US$6.4m) across the three years.
